PLF U10s & U12s Flag – Alan Tang bounced-back from his last showing in the Under 10s Flag to top his section as he reached the 8th green, finishing ahead of Seth Malcolm (2nd) and Kameron Brown.
In the Under 10s Girls, Amy Blackadder held-off the challenges of the Mair sisters (Lois & Hannah) as she also reached the 8th green with her 36 shots on a tricky, windy day at the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre’s Devenick Golf Course.
The Under 12s Girls section saw Alice Rhodes and Brooke Sinclair battling it out. Both girls reached the 9th hole with their 36 shot allowance but it was Alice who edged ahead by making it to the green.
Peter Mair rounded-off a good day for the Mair family as he won the Under 12s Boys by reaching the 10th hole. Kyle Marshall finished as runner-up and Nilav Chetty claimed 3rd place.
All of today’s Flag winners will join those who have claimed a prize during the course of the season and will be invited to attend the Paul Lawrie Foundation Flag Finals which will now take place at Paul Lawrie Golf Centre on Saturday 5th October (previously Sun 6th).
PLF U15s Stableford –
Oli Blackadder, playing in his first PLF U15s Stableford today, saw off the challenges of two of his young counterparts thanks to a countback to claim 1st prize over the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre’s lay-out. With 39 points apiece, Oli Blackadder, Zack Don & Ollie Robertson (each still eligible to be participating in the Foundation’s Flag competitions) plotted their way around the Devenick Course in testing conditions with a stiff breeze blowing throughout to top the field.
PLGC was in superb conditions with the greens running at a good speed and very true.
