REPORT & RESULTS – Cruden Bay was looking at it’s very best for the Flak kids participating in today’s event. The morning haar eventually gave way to a beautiful day, with light winds and sunshine throughout the afternoon.
In the Under 10s Boys it was business as usual for Oli Robertson who made it round the nine-hole lay-out at St Olaf’s course and back down the 10th hole with his 36 shots. Mitchell Sinclair also made it through 9 holes, holing-out at the 9th with his final shot. Douglas Ross finished in third in his first ever Flag competition.
Lois Reid also topped her Under 10s Girls section in her first Flag event. In the Under 12s Girls, Lily MacDonald outdid her sister, Evie, to claim first prize. Isla Reid finished in 3rd place.
The Under 12s Boys competition saw Zack Don continuing where he’d left off last October. He saw off the challenges of Saul Phillips (2nd) and Ellis Gain by making it round to the 10th hole with his 36 shots. Playing alongside Oli Robertson in the first game off, Oli & Zack finished in nearly identical positions with their tee shot off the 10th.
