PLF Scratch Match Play Finals - Newmachar Golf Club - 14 & 15 September 2019

Rhys Sim saw off the challenge of Ruaridh Fenwick in the Final of the Scratch Match Play U18s, eventually sealing a 4&3 win thanks to a run of three-holes-in-a-row on the back nine.  The final was evenly poised at the turn with the pair All Square through 9 holes until Sim put together a strong run of three successive holes to effectively shut the door on his opponent.

In the third/fourth play-off Match, it took an additional hole for Jason Bruce to overcome Daniel Aitken.

The Finals weekend will take place over the weekend of 14 & 15 September with the leading 16 qualifiers whittled-down over the weekend to the last two players in each competition who will contest the Final on Sunday afternoon over the Hawkshill Course at Newmachar.  Lunch will be provided by PLF to all competitors on each day.
